Simple Salsa

This salsa recipe has only a few ingredients, but it comes together quickly with no actual cooking!

Ingredients:
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • salt & pepper (or garlic salt & pepper) to taste
  • 1 small jalapeno or other chili, chopped (optional)

In a small bowl combine garlic, onion and tomatoes with cilantro, (and jalapeno, if using) salt, and pepper. Stir with a spoon and mash a little, this will make it juicy, and as it sits it'll get juicer.

Did you know?

When Columbus first arrived in the Americas, there were close to 300 varieties of corn being grown on the continent. Today, only 16 varieties of corn account for over 70% of the corn being grown in the United States. With the advent of genetically engineered corn, we are in danger of losing all genetic diversity, leaving the nations corn crop open to widespread destruction by a single fungus or disease.
